We had a great stay at a clean hostel with helpful staff. the facilities were good, with plenty of space to socialize and meet other people. They even provided information about available work in the area. it was a good value for the price we paid. Cons: Hard to think of anything 🤷♀️.

I recently stayed at a hostel in the heart of a bustling city. The location was perfect, with all the attractions, shops, and amenities within easy walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The shared spaces and facilities were spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable environment. I particularly enjoyed the large kitchen, allowing me to cook my own meals and save money. The room was clean and cozy, with a reliable air conditioning unit and a good-sized fridge. Additionally, the hostel now offers free WiFi everywhere, making it convenient to stay connected. The added bonus of a free shuttle to the Magnetic Island ferry was greatly appreciated. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this hostel to anyone looking for affordable accommodation.

Great location close to popular hiking spots and central amenities. Spacious and clean dorm rooms with good kitchen and bathroom facilities. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Noisy corridors make it difficult to have a peaceful night's sleep. Outdated furniture and could do with a refurbishment.

The location of the hotel was great, very close to the city center which made it convenient to explore the city. The staff at the reception were friendly and helpful, especially the guy from Canada. The kitchen facilities were clean and well-maintained, which made it easy for me to cook my own meals. Additionally, parking outside the hotel was easy and hassle-free.
The room could have been better in terms of comfort. The bed was just okay and the curtains didn't block out enough light, making it difficult to sleep.

Mini fridge in room, great for leftovers. Nice views of mountains and sunrise. Down to earth and chatty staff. Quirky spoon teacup hooks. Cheap stay with decent facilities. Sunbirds nesting in living area. Friendly and helpful staff arranged airport shuttle and changed dorm when aircon issue. Not far from town. Feels like Spain or the Med, with towels, bathmats, soap, and free tea and coffee. Shuttle bus convenient for location. Exceptional staff, owner even went out of their way to help. Clean rooms and fantastic location. One of the best hostels in Australia.

The location of the hotel was great, situated near a supermarket and convenient for easy access to nearby attractions. the staff were friendly and accommodating, providing helpful information and assistance during our stay. the atmosphere of the hotel was cozy and welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home.
The room we stayed in had a noisy air conditioning unit that disturbed our sleep. Despite adjusting the temperature, the AC noise persisted, affecting the overall comfort of our stay.

The staff at the guesthouse were very friendly and accommodating, providing a warm welcome and helpful information about the area. the private room we stayed in was clean and spacious, with amenities such as a full, size fridge and air conditioning. the shared bathroom was also well, maintained and of a good size. the guesthouse offered a self, service laundry and a large kitchen with plenty of space to store food.
The wifi signal was restricted to the common area off reception and had a slow connection.

I recently stayed at Civic Guesthouse for a few nights and had a wonderful experience. The shared areas were spotlessly clean, and I appreciated the free shuttle service from the bus/harbour. The room had a separate bathroom, which was a great bonus, and both were impeccably clean. Despite it being New Year's Eve, the atmosphere was calm and relaxing, with many other guests staying. The laundry facilities were a convenient perk.
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.
